LEADERSHIP TEAM

CONCRETE ACTION PLAN

SOUNDS FAMILIAR?

FOR TEAMS WHO WANT DECISIONS

Concrete outcome

Your team is smart and capable, but meetings go in circles and accountability is vague. You want concrete decisions.

Strategy in action

You want a day that produces a real decision and a written plan — not a 60-slide deck to review next quarter

Senior leadership

You want senior facilitation from people who've been in your shoes — not a workshop company that's never run a business.

THE METHODOLOGY

BUILT ON GOOGLE DESIGN SPRINT— ADAPTED TO REAL BUSINESS DECISIONS.

The Design Sprint was developed at Google Ventures to answer critical business questions in five days or less. We've adapted it for leadership teams — replacing prototype testing with strategic decision-making and concrete planning. The structure works because it's designed to prevent the two things that kill most strategy sessions: endless debate, and leaving without a commitment.

PHASE 1

REFRAME

Define the real challenge. Challenge assumptions. Set a clear sprint question that makes the goal concrete and testable.

PHASE 2

IDEATE

Individual ideation before group discussion. Structured exercise that surfaces ideas that never come up in normal meetings.

PHASE 3

SELECT

Structured decision-making, not only majority vote. Everyone aligned on which direction to pursue and which - to leave out.

PHASE 4

EXECUTE

Translate the decision into an actionable plan with owners and a timeline. First steps that start the next working day.

The work starts with a 60-minute online scoping workshop where we work with you to define the right question for the day. This is the single most important step — the quality of the question determines the quality of the output. It's included in every engagement.

SAMPLE PROGRAMME

WHAT A DAY
LOOKS LIKE

Every session is tailored to your team's specific challenge. This is a representative day — the timing and exercises adapt to your context, not the other way around.

09:00 - 09:30

ARRIVAL

Welcome & Sourdough Start

Settle in, mix your dough. An intentional analog opening that gets people present before the work begins.

🍞 Bread in progress

10:30 - 11:00

BREAK

Coffee & Stretch & Fold

Short break with a bread-making check-in. Hands busy, conversations continue informally.

🍞 Stretch & fold

12:30 - 13:30

LUNCH

Lunch Break

A proper break. Informal conversations are often where the most important things get said.

🍞 Bread resting

14:45 - 16:15

PHASE 4: EXECUTE

Build the Plan

Turn the decision into an action plan. Assign owners. Set the first milestone. Write it down while everyone's in the room.

🍞 On bread: It sets the tone for the day. Your team starts the offsite with a short sourdough intro — hands in dough, screens away, full focus. The bread bakes while you work and you break it together at the end.

09:30 - 10:30

PHASE 1: REFRAME

Map the Challenge

Surface what everyone knows, challenge what everyone assumes. Define the real question the day needs to answer.

11:00 - 12:30

PHASE 2: IDEATE

Generate & Explore Options

Structured ideation techniques that prevent groupthink and surface unexpected directions. Individual work before group discussion.

13:30 - 14:45

PHASE 3: SELECT

Make the Decision

Evaluate options against clear criteria. Use structured voting and facilitated debate to reach a committed decision — not a compromise.

16:15 - 17:00

CLOSE

Commit & Break Bread

Each person states their commitment aloud. Shape your loaf to take home. Leave with clarity, a plan, and a loaf of sourdough.

🍞 Shape and take the dough home

TO BAKE OR NOT TO BAKE?

THE BREAD IS NOT THE POINT. IT'S WHAT MAKES THE POINT LAND.

It gets people out of their heads

The hands-on opening breaks the meeting-room mindset that people carry in from the commute. Thirty minutes with dough and no screens changes the quality of everything that follows.

 It levels the table

Nobody has a competitive advantage at a bread table. The CEO and the analyst are both beginners. That matters when you need honest input from everyone in the room.

 It creates a memory anchor

People remember decisions better when they're linked to a physical experience. Taking home a loaf they shaped themselves makes the commitments they made that day harder to forget.

FACILITATED BY PEOPLE WHO RUN BUSINESS.

WHO WE ARE?

Hi! We're Joanna and Marina — longtime friends who spent our careers with global brands like Philips, Tommy Hilfiger, and Nike. With backgrounds in marketing strategy, product development and operations.

We saw firsthand that the best team moments rarely happen in an exhausting marathon of power point slides. So we built a different kind of meeting space.

The Bakeroom is our answer to the question: what if your offsite actually felt worth the time away?
